Search Facility

You can search the ANS website from the following link.

Only the free access area is subject to this search.

Need Secure Access?

In order to log in to the server you must have an ANS user name and password. This is a one-off process available to all current members. Complete the Server Registration Form to receive your user name and initial password. Then click the Secure Server button at the top of each page of the public website. You will be prompted to accept the security certificate which ensures that you are accessing the secure Server area.

Click the Enter Server button and you will be moved into the secure server area.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

[1] How do I access the Facebook Group.

ANS now have a 'closed' (semi-private) Facebook Group named ANS Neurophysiology. If you require access go to that page and request to become a member. We have several Admins so you shouldn't have to wait long to gain full access. Please be aware that although this is a closed forum it should be considered to be in the public eye. It would be 'reactively moderated' if necessary.

[2] I used to be able to log in and now I can't.

If you have not paid your annual subscriptions by 1 June of any particular year your accounts will be frozen temporarily then deleted.

[3] It is ages since I logged in and cannot remember my user name or password.

Your user name is normally made up of your first name and last name with a period (or dot) between them. For example my user name is martyn.thompson.
Except for those people who signed up in the early days, all users are given the option to choose their own passwords. If you are struggling to remember your password then get in touch with me.

[4] Moodle Education and CPD

To gain access to the moodle server you should use your user name and password. The moodle software is open source and adapted for ANS use. The vast majority of the programming remains the same and therefore it is possible to alter the password of moodle. This would only affect the the moodle server so it is suggested you leave your password the same as both the Webmail and the Secure servers.
If you find you have changed the password and have forgotten it then get in touch and I can reset it.

[5] Where can I find my ANS Membership Number?

Your ANS membership number can be found on your ANS Membership Card. A new card is issued annually when you pay your subscriptions.
If you receive a paper copy of The ANSwer you will find your ANS number on the bottom right hand corner of the address label.
If you are unable to find your ANS number then please contact the membership secretary Karene Taylor directly for assistance. Her contact details can be found on the About ANS page.

[6] How do I get to Webmail?

To read your ANS Webmail click on the Secure Server button (top right of each screen) then click on the Webmail button. You will need your user name (usually firstname.lastname) and your password.

[7] I forgot my membership number - help!

Send me an email. I will try and assist you.

[8] Internet Explorer and Compatibility Mode

Newer versions of IE (and other web browsers) have what is known as 'Compatibility Mode'. This allows older web sites to render correctly on newer browsers such as Internet Explorer 8.0. Until the website changes occur there is no need to run your browser in compatibility mode. It will look best when viewed with the latest versions of your web browsers.
